I've moved some forums and deleted some as well, just a small heads up if you didn't notice.

Do you like this new layout? Should something change?

Back in December, I got a laptop for Christmas. Over the five months I've had it, I realized how much I truly hate Vista. As a result, I tried out Linux Mint and found just how great it seemed to be. This morning, I installed it within Windows and was troubled by not being able to find my C: drive. I went to the liberty oftoying with several different settings until I came across partitons. Truthfully, I had no idea just what this was but decided to test it anyway. Soon, after clicking God knows what, a window popped up saying THIS WILL DELETE YOUR DRIVE etc etc. Well that's not good, is it? So, I mashed cancel.

No one told me that OK and Cancel are switched in Linux. Without thinking, I'd clicked create and before I knew it, my C: drive was gone. Wiped clean. All that work, games, music, photos, everything is gone. If that weren't bad enough, all of Vista is gone too, leaving me with the shell of a laptop and no OS.

Luckily, I'm using my brother's laptop to create recovery discs. If this works out like I hope, I may at least get my computer back and then be able to stop using my DSi to post stuff like this. I'd like for anyone on the Sonic Comix staff to post something on Monday, as I have no idea when I'll be properly back online. Wish me luck, I need it.

Last week was Christmas. Only a year ago I would've scrambled for a crappy "special" or something to slap onto the horrid slop of comics I had going and smile happily at my work. It was ironically Christmas (or close to it) that I found my due for Sonic Comix had actually expired and I hadn't even noticed it happening. It's a pure shame because I came to the sudden realization that I hadn't hardly used the site outside of hosting my email or images for more than 6 months. This sort of knocked me off my feet. Granted, I've made some stupid YouTube videos, had a thing or two created, but the time just sort of slipped away.

The problems I've really had were mildly standard, as this isn't the first time in my web history they've happened. Life with school and the somewhat more involvement thereof showed that I had less time to spend dwelling in the wide world of the internet. There was also the sheer anxiety of creating something worthwhile, with many ideas just lost with the feeling of laziness setting in. Though, upon all this, my biggest problem was Sonic Comix itself. You see, as the world is changing I feel that a site named after an already copyrighted item, has it's limits. The most thinking I've actually done is finding the proper name to change it to. Truthfully, the name Sonic Comix was meant to imply more than one comic, a goal I had only achieved this past year.

However, this is where I feel the limit sets in. It's just supposed to be, the oh so clever, "comix," right? Furthermore, these comics are supposed to contain one Sonic the Hedgehog and his pals doing God only knows what, or at least something of the similar variety towards the talking, speedy animal. Thus, my thought process, when momentarily turned toward the site in question, is what to change the name to. I've seeked the help of staff on the forum who have no idea whatsoever as to the name it should be changed to. My best was "Those Internet Comics" which would imply the standard comics you would find on the internet (thus giving reason to keep the sprite comics in play, but also keep Killer's comic.) The best part is that it could stray far away from the pure "COMICS HERE ARE ABOUT VIDYA GAMES, UMK?!" and be able to indulge upon other spectrums that I had yet to touch.

That doesn't mean that the whole idea of a name change is out of the question. In fact, the whole idea may becoming into place very soon. It's something I want to look into, but I'm unsure of my support. At this point, I can say one thing: Broken Shards will resume on January 26th, of 2009. That should give me 4 weeks to round up at least one comic, if not several if I get hit with the blunt end of inspiration.

In other news, I one of the presents I received for Christmas was a laptop which I thus bought the Orange Box for. It may be as quoted on the back of the box "The best deal in Video Game history," even if I am a little late to the party. This led to the creation of a Steam account, which is easily the best service to me, for online gaming because of how lenate the whole system is. Allowing mods and different servers and such is really cool, and I recommend it to anyone who is having trouble with Xbox Live (or the Playstation Network...) to give it a try. Half Life 2 is amazing, and I really want to get into the first, if not to understand the story better, but to play the so called "best PC game of all time." I also received Animal Crossing, which come to think of it, I haven't played in a few days, but I would like to test the online mode, if anyone wants to join in.

I've been able to type this whole essay on how Sonic Comix needs change and why I suck, but closing seems strangely hard. I can say this: 2009 will be a good year, and I see many changes ahead, so get ready!

A long, long time ago we had a "community." OK, that's a Brazen lie, we had people who came to this forum occasionally and posted. Obviously, we really don't get members anymore so I turn to you all. Anyone who has any ideas or anything can speak now, or if they have a comic, I'll probably host it at this point. I really just need something to jump start Sonic Comix, the forum, and myself, as I've lacked inspiration for months....

Oh yeah, THORN THIS MUST BE THE ONLY WAY TO REACH YOU I NEED YOU TO PM ME A NEW PASSWORD FOR CUTENEWS NOW THAT EVERYBODY KNOWS GOOD DAY.

Alright, welcome to the new board, blah blah blah. At this point, if you're here, it's because you care. Thus, we DESPERATELY need your help! If you know anything about Jcinks skins, that'd be great. I'm lost! We also need the following:
-New Banner
-Buttons and stuff for skin
-Other things, PM when interested.

I'm so off guard and I don't know why. Things were going great but I feel that I'm flying solo here and no one truly cares! Help prove me wrong you guys...
